We feed our rabbits with complete well balance dry food, which contains seeds, herbs, vitamins and mineral. This well balance food, is easy on digestion and fill all eating needs for rabbits. The water is distributed in an automated fashion, so it’s always fresh and clean.
Our dry food bags are place on an elevated wood floor to keep them always dry. Humid dry food will develop mold and fungus and must never be serve to rabbits. Close the bags so you don’t get any dust inside.
When you buy a rabbit from our breeding, you will receive a small bag of dry food, so that your animal do not get stress over the change of food. If you prefer another trademark, the transition must be done on a period of 10 days, by adding gradualy the new food to the old one. All changes in food must be done in a gradual manner to evitate the diarrhoea. If even with all precautions your animal develp this condition, you must give an anti-diarrhoea et make certain that your animal drink well or bring it to the veterinarian so that it get hydrated Never let a rabbit go dehydrated.
Adding carrots, cabbage, turnip to your rabbit are all vegetable which are given in surplus to the basic dry food. They are not necessary but are treats to get friendly.
We must never feed only with mix seeds or corn. The animal would make large amount of fat and would not get a balance feeding. The fat is not a sign of a good health but the result of bad feeding. The feeding of hay and other grass only, is not enough for a rabbit. To get good result, one must not make false savings. It’s more economical to buy a well balance dry food. Ask advice to your Cooperative, they do have excellent advisors.
